YOU SHALL NOT STEAL

YOU SHALL NOT COVET YOUR NEIGHBORS WIFE
YOU SHALL NOT COVET YOUR NEIGHBORS GOODS
Now, what do these really mean? well there are different parts of these commandments that fall into different categories./
First and foremost, there is respect for god. Why is this first? well, it is due to the fact that as stated in the first commantment the lord your god comes before all others. so, what commandments show respect and love for god? well, obviously the first, second, third do. How about the fourth one? Well, do you truly in your heart of hearts thik that is literally talking about your mother and your father? No, this is symbolic for your earthly family and God is both your mother and your father. This is to teach you to respect authority figures. How about the rest of the commandments? well, you might think that maybe "No they are not they are obviously for your neighbors." If you said this, you are wrong. Just because you are personally respecting god through doing things that please him on a one on one context you still need to take into consideration that you are also responsible for caring for his creation. You are his sheep and he is the shepherd, however, you are also the shepherd of his creation. When you take this into mind, you realize that every commandemtn is all about respecting god. Just think about it like this, you wouldnt go into your friends house and destroy his kitchen and abuse hiis cat and his fish, then have relations with his dear mistress. No, thjat would be wrong and that would be disrespecting him and his stuff. This same logic can be applied to God and his house. We are all family members under his roof and God is our friend, our father.
